Fly Rod Chronicles with Curtis Fleming Wins Award for Best Broadcast
Curtis Fleming & Julia Burton return home to West Virginia to produce a show at Harman's Cabins in Grant County and were awarded for their efforts

Winchester, VA. -- (October 14, 2009) -- Country music recording artist Julia Burton and Curtis Fleming is proud to announce that their home-state of West Virginia received a state-wide award for Best Broadcast by the West Virginia Division of Tourism for an episode of The Sportsman Channel's Fly Rod Chronicles with Curtis Fleming that Julia Burton made a guest appearance.

Fly Rod Chronicles with Curtis Fleming was awarded Best Broadcast by the West Virginia Division of Tourism's 'Stars of the Industry Award Program' in late September. Award criteria included information on the broadcast, broadcast area, viewer demographics, and best portrayal of county and state.
The Fly Rod Chronicles episode featuring Julia Burton as a special guest to fly fishing expert and show producer Curtis Fleming was shot in April at Harman's North Fork Cottages in Cabins, WV on the North Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River. Airing nationwide this past August, Fly Rod Chronicles highlighted the picturesque scenery of the sleepy mountain area of Grant County, along with the familiar face of Former Miss West Virginia, WVU Mountaineer, and country music artist, Julia Burton.

Fleming & Burton, a strong advocate for the state of West Virginia, comments, "They are so proud of Grant County and its recognition by the state of West Virginia. We are continually looking for anything we can do to showcase the state and highlight its natural beauty and laid back way of life. Burton adds... "Most importantly, I had a ball out-fishing the pro!"

Fly Rod Chronicles, now in its fourth season on The Sportsman Channel, airs in 20 million homes in the U.S. and locally on West Virginia and Virginia television stations.

Burton and Fleming has agreed to a re-match that will be announced at a later date.
